The file you get
A text file with tab-separated fields (the documentation describes only this text file), saved in the SavedTradeActivity subfolder of the installation. The Trade Activity tab holds one row per fill or order (ActivityType, DateTime, Symbol, Quantity, Buy Sell, Fill Price, Filled Quantity, Trade Account, among others); the Trades tab, one row per matched trade (Symbol, Trade Type, Entry Date Time, Exit Date Time, Entry Price, Exit Price, Trade Quantity, Profit/Loss, Commission).
Steps
- On the main menu select Trade >> Trade Activity Log.
- Select the tab you want to save: Trade Activity (one row per fill) or Trades (matched trades with P/L and commission). If you choose Trades, turn off Edit >> Include Begin/End Indicators in Trades List: by default the entry and exit date-times carry the BP and EP suffixes, and the file is saved exactly as displayed.
- Press DisplaySettings and set the filters: Trade Activity Type = Fills, Symbol or All Symbols (with one symbol, set Profit/Loss Format to Currency Value; with All Symbols currency is implied), Trade Account or All Accounts, Simulation State and Date Range to Display (From Date|From Time and To Date|To Time). Only what is displayed on the tab is saved.
- The From Date and Time must fall at a moment when the position was flat; otherwise the Trades and the P/L come out wrong. For the Commission column to carry values, enable Use Commission and set Round Turn Commission in Global Settings >> Symbol Settings.
- On the window's menu select File >> Save Log As, enter the name in Filename and press Save: the dates come in Sierra Chart's global time zone and the prices as displayed.

Where to upload it
In the field 'Your platform report', as it is (a tab-delimited .txt).
Limit: up to 10 MB per file. If your file is over the limit, shorten the period.
Before you upload
- Rigor is not affiliated with Sierra Chart. The steps come from its official Trade Activity Log documentation, read in October 2026; if the window changes, go by what you see on screen.
- The Trade Activity tab is read as it is: Rigor keeps the Fills rows and pairs buys and sells per symbol in the order they happened. The Trades tab is read, without the BP and EP suffixes, once you say on the form that Trade Quantity is the quantity; the other columns are recognised by their names.
- Do not use File >> Export for the upload: it is meant for importing back into Sierra Chart, with dates in UTC and unadjusted prices (the exchange's native format, with Teton or Rithmic for example).
- With Teton Order Routing or Sierra Chart's Simulated Futures Trading Service the server downloads about three weeks of fills (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> Max Historical Order Fills Days to Download); with other futures platforms usually only the current day: what you export is what the local log has kept. Check that 'Automatically Delete Trade Activity Log Files on Startup Older than Days' does not delete what you want to upload.
- Sierra Chart's documentation describes no specific export for prop-firm evaluation accounts; simulated accounts appear as Sim#. If you trade a challenge, on the form, under 'Add more files', you choose the firm and the program to simulate with its published rules.
- This file does not say how much capital you started with: type it in 'Starting balance'. Without it the audit assumes 10,000 and says so in the report.
- The file only holds closed trades: the floating drawdown inside each trade is reported as Not measured.
What the report does with this file
- With one row per fill, it pairs buys and sells per symbol in the order they happened, first in, first out; positions still open at the end are left out and the report says so.
- If the file has no result column and no multiplier column, futures with a contract code (ESZ6, for example) are priced with the point value their exchange publishes and the report lists the one it used.
- It works out your win rate, net of the fees the file itemises, the average win and loss and the profit factor of your closed trades.
- 'Does it still work in the recent period?' cuts the history into three equal stretches of time and compares the last with the ones before (it needs at least 60 trades and 730 days). If the earlier trades averaged a gain, the recent ones do not, and the drop is larger than chance explains, the red flag 'The result fades in the recent period' is raised.
